According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, an Entrepreneur is “a person who starts a business and is willingly to risk loss in order to make money.
It also defines the term as “One who
organizes, manages, and assumes the risks of a business or enterprise. The word Originated from an old French word “entreprendre”
which means enterprise.
In my own words, anyone that can meet
a need (Products/Services) and be rewarded for it is an entrepreneur.
THERE ARE MANY ADVANTAGES IN BEING AN ENTREPRENEUR.
1.
Ability
to manage your time by yourself. (You are your own Boss)
2.
Your
Work doesn’t look like a Job because it’s part of your personality.
3.
Job
Safety- No one can sack you.
4.
It’s
transferable- Your Family can Inherit it
5.
There
is no direct Retirement Age.
6.
You
can easily fulfill your Life’s Purpose.
7.
Over
time you are paid even when you are not “working”.
SIMPLE WAYS TO BECOMING A SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR:
a.
BE CREATIVE: An average Entrepreneur is always
creative, always thinking of new ways to make thinks different and better.
Don’t stay satisfied with “tradition”. Always think of new alternatives.
b.
STAY CURIOUS: It’s a strong Gene in most
Entrepreneurs. You cannot be a successful entrepreneur if you are not a curious
person. Entrepreneurs always ask WHY? & HOW? “Obey before Complain” doesn’t
always work for real entrepreneurs.
c.
RESILIENT: In the negative sense, it is call
“stubborn” but when applied rightly, it’s a very nice virtue. True
Entrepreneurs are committed to an idea, goal or project. They stay in it, no
matter what comes.
d.
TIME CONSCIOUS: Established Entrepreneurs have
realized that TIME is more valuable than MONEY; so they never joke with their
time. There is hardly an established Entrepreneur that will give you their TIME
& MONEY at the same time. For them, it’s easier to give you MONEY than
their TIME.
e.
PRUDENT: Every penny is accounted for. Great
Entrepreneurs aren’t just good at making money; they are excellent at managing
it. They don’t spend on anything that doesn’t bring something positive back in
return.
I hope this little Tip has helped
someone get a better understanding on Business.
