A WISE ENTREPRENEUR SHOULD
AVOID THESE KIND OF PEOPLE
1.
YES MEN: That’s the closest name I could give to them.
They are the kind of people that always tell you what you would like to hear.
They either do this out of respect for you or your craft or because they simply
don’t care. As a boss or a follower; it is important you have people that are
willingly to tell you the truth. Especially when it is bitter. An individual
that agrees with EVERYTHING you say or do is not a true friend.
2.
WHAT IF: Also known as doubting Thomas… these kind of
people are naturally gifted at finding practical reasons why certain things
would not work. Once you tell them about a project or an idea, their brain is
automatically programmed to look for logical obstacles. They are this way
because of fear or past experiences. Once in a while, its “OK” to listen to
them, but if you let these kind of people be your confidants, you will NEVER
achieve anything worthwhile
3.
COMPLAINERS:
Yea right… Just the way you have
professional “Mourners” in burial ceremonies, there are people that are
specialized COMPLAINERS. There is hardly a time you interact with them that
they give you any good news. These set of people are ardent followers of News
on CNN, BBC, VOA, CHANNELS and many more. They feed their conscious and sub
conscious minds with negative reports that they have no choice but to dump such
negative reports as complain on you. They complain about the youths, complain
about the church, complain about the government, anything and everything they
complain about. A heart that complains can never be grateful and an ungrateful
heart cannot succeed.
4.
TIME WASTERS: They come in different
shape and sizes. Anyone that doesn’t respect time doesn’t appreciate life.
Although it’s almost impossible to see Nigerians or Africans who respect time,
but the ones who have attained good measure of success VALUE every second of
their time. People, who always break
appointments, are not people to hold close. Such people are constantly filled
with EXCUSES; and the number one enemy of growth is EXCUSES.
5.
SELF
Appointed gods: There are
certain people who always believe they know the best for you. Having people
that care about you is good, but when their care is measured only by your doing
their will, there is a problem. The
support of these kind of people is largely dependent on your willingness to
follow them hook, line and sinker. Once your heart desire or plans differ from
theirs, they consider it useless and unprofitable. Its good to receive counsel from others, but
when these people find it difficult to trust your visions, dreams or plans, it’s
important you keep your distance from them.
