Movie Review: The Greatest Showman

Of late, Marvel Studios have kinda dominated the movie industries with many fictional stories, Avengers, Black Panther e.t.c; although they are quite entertaining & sometimes hilarious, one may have to dig deep down to find the LESSONS in such movies. 

The Greatest Showman is a movie set on a completely different path. Quickly, I would give you 7 reasons why every Entrepreneur needs to see this movie.

1. HUGH JACKMAN: Usually when you hear the name, the Claws, anger and everything Wolverine will pop into mind; well, in this movie, we saw that there are other sides to him. In this movie,
he completely (or at least tried to) play the role of a Lover, Husband, Father & successful entrepreneur. His humane expressions is a true beauty to behold as we see him in a totally different light.

2. NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS: The Movie began with a Dream, and it ended with the realization of that dream. Hugh Jackman effortlessly played P. T. Barnum a young man from a poor home who believed He could be something more and gave all He could to become that.


3.MONEY ISN'T ALL A GIRL WANTS: In this part of the world it is generic to say that All Girls are swayed by money & fame, however, in this movie, we realized that that wasn't ALL she wanted. She wanted to be Happy, She was content with being with Barnum, she was content with her Children, that was the life that gave her Joy... The Happiness in the Home. 

4. RISK IS A PART OF THE GAME: After Life happened to Him, He took a RISK in setting up a project nobody had seen before, obviously, it didn't go as planned initially, but after a while, thanks to the advice of his children, He struck goldmine.  


5. PARTNERSHIP IS KEY: Although Barnum kicked off the project alone, to grow to a higher level & attract high end clients, He had to form a strategic partnership with playwright Phillip Carlyle & this was the much needed turnaround for his business.

6. COMMUNICATION SKILL IS VITAL: All through the movie, Barnum proved to be an excellent communicator; He used words to get his wife, to get loan from bank, to get a world class act to his show e.t.c; he was so prolific in his speaking abilities that IMPOSSIBLE meant nothing to him.


7. AMBITION WITHOUT CHECK IS DANGEROUS: Barnum in this movie showed us the anger of being overly ambitious. It leas to arrogance, pride & most times may cause us to forget the people that matters most to us. The More He tasted Greatness, the more He sought for more Greatness, in the process, hurting the ones that truly love him the most.
