IS THIS AMOSUN's LEGACY?

Ebadan Ayodeji
Dear Agbara residents,
As if we are not having enough troubles from this irresponsible government, thev have now employed some touts who put on brown uniform and cook up spurious allegations/offences against people, take them to one shack around the Sewage area and extort 10 - 15k from them.
Please if you live or work around here, let's have a forum in the comments section on what we can do legally
I'm looking for action takers, who can create time, for us to work on this menace together.
This government guys are WACK! And that task force "IGR strategy" is all over South West, peculiar to APC government.
But Agbara is my domain and I think this should not slide.
Let's talk. Ise ya

While Resdients in the area are still battling with the menance of VIO who mount illegal chek points and extort from motorists, especially on market days; now we have to still contend with this TASK FORCE! When I saw this on a facebooker's wall, I knew the earlier something is done, the better for all residents of Agbara/Atan metropolis.
Which sane government will be setting up tasks force everywhere when the roads are bad? Is this the kind of Legacy Senator Ibikunle Amosun want to leave for the people of Ogun State?

GOOD NEWS IN OPIC CONSTRUCTION

For years now, Residents of OPIC Estate have written, appealed and admonished the Ogun State government to hear their cries and repair the roads in the Estate; unfortunately, Agbara axis of Ogun State seems to be forgotten by the Ogun State government, except when its time to collect Tax and demolish structures of the poor masses.

While we all knew of the Flooding in VI and other parts of Lagos, only a few people heard of lives and properties being damaged by the effects of flooding in OPIC Estate. Due to the rains, and no clear cut drainage systems in the OPIC roads, fences, soakaways  and its likes keep falling thanks to the flood.

In order to save themselves of more damage, the Resident Association of OPIC Estate decided to do something about the Flood situation.

With Contributions from its Residents, an excavator was brought in to help in creating a drainage system, so that when it rains water would no longer be in one particular area, thereby making the road inaccessible.

It is the hope of the Association that with this effort, Ogun State government will take note and implement a more definite plan about the roads in Open Estate. The Association would also appreciate more support from Residents and Companies around.

OFFICIAL NUSIANCE... When Law Enforcers become Law Breakers!!!

WHO WILL SAVE US FROM THE HANDS OF THESE PEOPLE?

They were set up as an institution to serve the public and make life easier for the masses unfortunately; they have drifted away from their core purpose and are now becoming a nuisance.

If you’ve ever had cause to go to Any of the Banks on “Bank Road” in Agbara, you will have an idea about what am talking about. As I passed by on one particular day, the bike man who was wearing the Agbara Okada Riders vest was immediately told to Parkkk!!! The next thing the Policeman asked was… What is your number? He turned round to check his plate number when the Policeman laughed and said… “So you dey new for here abi? Oya Bring your money come make I give you number, so that you no go pay me next time you pass here. “

I grew up to see a Police force that takes bribe, but seeing Okada men being oppressed just because they want to make a living; it’s simply not right.

When Agbara Estate Resident Association (AERA) made an appeal for a Mobile Police Tank to be positioned in that environment, it was meant to serve as a preventive course for arm robbery, so while they protect the Residents living in the estate, they also protect the banks too.
I want to believe that all the Banks within that area (at least 15) pay monthly security levy to these Policemen, additionally, AERA also pays them… Why then do they still take bribe from innocent motorists? It’s totally unfair.
They are not the only ones guilty of this too, just by the Estate Shopping mall; there are two Policemen who also harass Okada men also. A few days ago, I saw one of them Smoking on duty while ordering a bike man to “Park & Settle”. I was ashamed and angry at the same time. What has our Police Force turned into?

In case you don’t understand what am saying… Coz as a Big Boi! You don’t use Okada, I think you might have experienced something unpleasant in the hands of these other set of people… the Vehicle Inspector Officer (VIO). Apart of its weird acronym, am still trying to get my head around the real function of this group of people. From my research, they are suppose to make sure only Vehicles that are duly registered access our roads; the sad news now is that they have left that and are more concerned with taking bribes from commercial motorists. Even private car/bus owners are not speared too from this humiliation. One will think that because their uniform is made up of White, they will be more responsible, but that’s far from the reality.
Now they have discovered that the best way to make money is on Market Days, “Lusada Market” and ‘Agbara Market”. They position themselves at the bad spots on the road and continue their nuisance.
Many even drink “Shekpe” “Ogogoro” on duty.

Law enforcement officers like the Police and VIO are paid by the government through tasks payers money, therefore they should be more concerned with serving the people than cursing their future with bribes from Nigerians who are hustling to make ends meet.
I pray those in authority looks into these issues soon.

#URGENT NEWS Operation Desert Dust

YOU NEED TO SEE THIS!!!

OPERATION DUST STORM
Live In Area 8 OPIC Estate.
Yes o! You heard me right! Its what it is… This is an Operation led by no other but the Management of Ogun State Property Investment Cooperation (OPIC). Directly or indirectly, they have chosen to lead this operation on innocent residents of the estate.

For more than 8 months, people living in and around Area 8 have had to battle with various diseases caused by the high rate of dust pollution in the area. A road that should have been completed over a year ago has remained uncompleted and filled with Red Sand instead of Coal Tar. The Contractors just concentrated their efforts at the entrance of the estate, making it look like the whole estate is beautiful; but on getting inside, it’s obvious that it’s never safe to judge a book by its cover.

Houses within Area 8 have all turned brown, crimson or even red, thanks to the millions of dust particles unleashed on them daily. Electrical equipments in these homes are not spared also as dust affect the component parts of major electronics.

The most pitiable part of this dust pollution is the terrible effect it has on the residents of Area 8; Cold, Catarrh, Cough, Irritation of eyes, Hay fever, Asthma Attacks are just few among many ways people are suffering from this Dust Pollution.

All efforts made by the Resident Association Of Ogun State Property Investment Cooperation to remedy this situation have been sabotaged by OPIC management. The situation further deteriorated when commercial motorists were given access to the residential road as an alternative to the dilapidated government Agbara- Atan Road.

At the moment, no life has been lost as a result of this preventable storm; as an observer, I pray that Senator Ibikunle Amosun led government will do something definite about this issue before it becomes fatal.
