THE FALL
OF AN OLYMPIAN
After
much deliberation on the Oscar Pistoriuos case, it has finally come to a close
with the man in question “pistoriuos” bagging home a five year prison sentence
It
all started with the incident that happened in the early hours on Valentine ’s
Day, when Oscar Pistorious mistook his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp for an
intruder which he allegedly unleashed a round of bullets on.
The 27 year old
double amputee was charged with murder and hauled to court; the trial lasted
for 20 months; almost 2 years. Though he was cleared for murder after the trial
but he was found guilty of culpable homicide (he failed to take any step to
avoid the death) acted too hastily and used excessive force and that his action
were negligent
Steenkamps
mother (June), had another problem to deal with as (Barry) Steenkamp’s father
suffered a stroke
After
the sentence, it was feared that Pistorious won’t be able to cope in the prison
due to his disability but according to the judge, Pistoriuos will be given
prison time and a break to see the public will not be permitted saying it will
make the justice system loose its credibility.
Pistorious
has been handed 5years in prison and the prison service ensured they could
cater for his disability. It is noteworthy to note that Pretoria Central Prison
where Oscar is going is said to be full of notorious criminals.

easy for this life o!
Such a pity,,,even tho wit a disability he still turned out to be a good member of d society only to be short down by a single mistake.I hope the prison dnt affect him adversely.
