About HOUSE HELPS
Years before now, the concept of House Helps wasn’t popular.
Our mothers had just one simple responsibility TAKING CARE OF THE HOME.
However, as time progressed, the need for women to get involved with providing
for the home increased their responsibilities; Therefore the need for a helping
hand.
While it is NOT advisable for (young) couples to employ the
services of a House Help, there are certain cautions that shouldn’t be
neglected if their relevance becomes inevitable.
FACTS
1. HOUSE HELPS ARE HUMANS TOO: We have
heard over and over again, stories of House Helps who are maltreated and placed
in inhumane conditions at their employers hands. That shouldn’t be. It is important
you treat your house helps like human beings.
2. THEY INFLUENCE YOUR CHILDREN: One of
the main reasons most married people get House Helps is so that there is
someone to always take care of the Kids when both parents are at work or
occupied with something else. Every parent should know that the formulation age
of Children is between 1-6 years, things that are learnt at that stage of life
has a huge role in determining who the child becomes in the future. The House
Help can influence their Sexual, Language, Spirituality and Education
orientation.
3. THEY ARE SECURITY RISKS: Most thieves
always confess that they get inside information about the occupants of the
house from the House Help. No matter how careful a family tries to be, the
house help is aware about certain things that can cause harm to the family.
Whether they look smart or otherwise, the security threat they pose cannot be
under rated.
With these kind of Knowledge, how best can a family HANDLE
the presence of a HOUSE HELP in the Home?
SOLUTIONS
a. It’s BEST a
House Help doesn’t LIVE in the House. This will limit their access to certain
things and information.
b. Although
the Help is NEEDED, don’t make it obvious that they are indispensable. Rather
than leave ALL the major job for the HOUSE HELP, work together with the House
Help. If a House Help discovers their employer is lazy, they will begin to
misbehave.
c. Respect
them: Every human appreciates respect. Don’t fail into the temptation of
physically abusing your House Help. This act kills their self-respect, makes
them see you as terror and in turn would make them look/feel unhappy, sad &
unnecessarily quite & timid.
d. Don’t Abuse:
When angry, try not to use insulting words on your house help, especially when
your children are around. For the sake of your children’s future, it’s
important you don’t insult the help. Children that are used to seeing their
House Helps being abused tend to become arrogant and abusive themselves.
e. Support
their Dreams: Every Human has a DREAM, the fact that they are willingly or
conditioned to serve as House Help at that point doesn’t mean they don’t think
of being something else in future. As they support in making your life easier,
do your best to ensure they are GROWING too in life. Support their Education,
Support their talent, Support their Dreams. People do more when they feel loved
and wanted.

#BUSINESS My Struggles as An Online Entrepreneur!
There are no gainful employments in
Nigeria…
That’s no longer news; actually, a Primary 6 student is aware of that
fact. Despite these challenge, Nigeria youths are rising up to the challenge by
creating Jobs for ourselves. Following the recent world trend we are are
embracing E-Commerce. As beautiful as the concept of E-commerce is, certain
factors can serve as a hindrance to its growth in Nigeria vis-viz Africa. And
honestly, I am getting tired.
I decided to carry out a little
researched carried out in the Central Part of Lagos Mainland Surulere to be
precise, over 50 of the Online Stores within that area had a major challenge
with Logistics.
Before I share my own story, hear
is what I observed from other budding entrepreneurs like me.
One of the Business Owners I
interviewed simply known as Jude confessed that he couldn’t use courier
services because they are too expensive, he would rather get an in-house errand
personnel who makes the deliveries to several parts of Lagos. According to him,
after about 6 months, he discovered that majority of his customers complained
about the LATE delivery of items order for. This was because, although his in-house
errand personnel knew Lagos well, he couldn’t easily locate the Residence of
certain clients who live in secluded parts of Lagos. After 6 months, he
discovered that her client based reduced drastically.
Another Start Up entrepreneur who
has an Online Boutique complained that although she worked with a Courier
service, she realized that after 12 months, she couldn’t Break Even. Majority
of her Profit was being used to service the courier service, hereby affecting
other key areas of her online boutique.
Funke who is into printing also
complained that due to the nature of her Job, she has not been able to fully
expand. Because she can’t afford to tell her clients stories, she takes the
printed fliers, banners, business cards, magazines and stuffs, directly to the
customers herself. In doing this, her office operations are put on hold until
she returns. With the unpredictable nature of Lagos roads, she sometimes
doesn’t get back to the office that day.
After listening to the Logistics
Challenges faced by these persons, I knew that indeed there is a major problem.
On my part as Food Vendor, I discovered that I couldn’t effectively manage the
process of delivering food myself. My company bought a Bike and for a while it
seemed like all was good, but as we expanded I realized that we couldn’t get to
all our clients effectively. We needed more bikes; we also needed to improve on
our menu and many other things. Over time, I realize my business was losing
focus.
As I speak to you now, I really
don’t know the way forward.

#InspireMonday Think SERVICE... Not just SURVIVAL
Think
SERVICE… Not just SURVIVAL
There was a point in our human existence when being tagged a “SUCCESS”
was easy. It was a one way Traffic. Go to School, Get Good Degrees; Get a Good Job,
Get Married, Raise Children, Retire at 65, Die at a Good Old ripe Age. Well… In this 21st Century… that
story will just turn you into a “Common Nigerian”; with little to give your Children/Grand
Children.
In this century, the Story has and MUST change. Today, the
definition of success has drastically changed from just being able to meet your
daily bread, to the ability to GROW WEALTH and INFLUENCE your world. Such that,
generations unborn would reap from your deeds.
To achieve this feat, our youths must begin to think SERVICE!
You may be tempted to
ask… WHAT IS SERVICE? Simply put, Service is the ability to translate a Talent,
Gifting, Potential or Ability into a form that can meet a NEED and you can be
REWARDED for. i.e Once you have the ability to solve a challenge using the
inborn ability you have inside you, you have become a SERVICE PROVIDER.
The World today is ruled by SERVICE PROVIDERS, those that
have the capacity to solve problems in any sector of the society.
HOW DO I BECOME A SERVICE PROVIDER?
a. RESPECT
WHAT YOU HAVE: no matter how infinitesimal your talent looks like, don’t disregard
it. It is important you RESPECT that which the creator has bestowed inside you.
Many a time, we erroneously believe that we need MORE Talents in other to
achieve more, regrettably, that is so fallacious, what we actually need is MORE
FOCUS on that which we have already.
b. DEVELOP YOURSELF: Like we all know, TALENT IS NOT ENOUGH! It is imperative you GROW the
Natural gifting you have. In today’s world, no one appreciates and rewards ONLY
TALENT. Through growth and development, that Potential, Gift or Talent can be
translated into a SKILL that can be used to provide a SERVICE that the society
can reward you for. Therefore, it is important you attend training, seminars,
workshops, exhibitions e.t.c whatever you can do to GROW that which you have
inside you, engage in it wholeheartedly.
c. GIVE IT
OUT: It’s imprudent to light a candle stick and place it under a table. It is vital
you find ways to GIVE OUT that which you have inside you. Engage in Volunteering
Projects, take part in Religious Projects, engage your family, friends, neighborhood,
community e.t.c; everyone around you must be able to define you based on your
gifting. Tell them, Serve Them! At the preliminary stage, you may have to pay
for the needed platforms to showcase your gifting’s, but as you stay committed
and keep growing, your Value would increase, then your demand increases and
when that happens, you can then begin to add charges to your SERVICE.
Majority of the people who COMPLAIN around you, are
SURVIVALS, that’s why any flip-flop in the economy threatens their survival. However,
as a SERVICE PROVIDER, there is this confidence that comes with your daily
action, you know that each day you spend on your Service, you are becoming more
important and valued; therefore your place in the economy is not threatened.
Conclusively, the Nations that THINK SERVICE always outclass
those that Think Only SURVIVAL. From this moment, make a commitment, that as an
individual, you are going to be a Service Provider. Make a Resolve to keep Providing
Solutions to the Challenges of those within your circle of influence.

THE CHILDREN CALLED P-SQUARE
For a while now, the media has been filled with Rumors, Facts and Fiction about the music group known as P-Square, While e may not have the right to play Judge in the case, it is important we take a cue from this conflict and reflect on our own lives. Here are a few lessons to learn:
Check This Out, Thank Me Later!!!
Check This Out, Thank Me Later!!!
1. PUT IT ON PAPER:
Relationships are good, friends, colleagues, brothers… whatever, but over time,
I’ve come to learn that there are two major factors that BREAK most
relationships… MONEY & LOVE. No matter how good things between you and a
person seem today… Learn to put major agreements on Paper. It’s a Shame to know
that a Brand Like P-SQUARE still run on “As We Feel” instead on based on our
contract or Agreement. Maybe they under estimated the Power of Money or Influence,
but now, its raising it’s heard as an irrepressible force.
#LESSON1: Learn to think Systems, not just because of the
present, but because of the useable future.
2. BEING SINGLE HAS
ITS BLESSINGS: Although man is a Social Animal, we must also remember
that man is Born Selfish by Nature. As an Unmarried person, there is a huge
amount of Freedom a person has. Freedom to do and UnDO. Freedom to Be and BE
NOT. WHY? Because the Consquence of such actions comes directly to YOU only. No
other person is directly affected by your decisions…. It’s YOUR Life, so you
can live it at your own terms. However, this changes the moment you Get married
or become a Baby Daddy; Life doesn’t end and begin with YOU anymore. You now
begin to consider other Factors. The Bitter Truth about this P-Square is that,
the presence of Women and Children in their lives affected their thought
patterns and Interests. What Could be Overlooked in 1999, 2009 and 2013 couldn’t
afford to be overlooked anymore. Whispers, Side Comments, Facial Dissatisfactions,
Murmurs and stuff gradually led to Division among the Brothers. From All
Indications, it seems as though Jude is the Bone Of Contention, but I think
P-Square was a Disaster waiting to Happen the Moment they Choose to Get
Married.
3. AGE HAS NOTHING
TO DO WITH MATURITY: Social Media has been one of the most
transformational tool of the 21st Century, but then these recent
Media Rants by two or Three So- Called Mature Minds is the height of
Irresponsibility. Are they the Only Music Group on Earth with Challenges and
Issues? Are they the Only TWINS on Earth who have done each other wrong? I am trying
to wrap my head around the fact that two Educated Individuals who have
travelled the World will come online to share their dirty little secrets with a
World that has been praying for them to FALL/FAIL. Can’t they learn from the
Past? MOhits? Who Separated and afterwards each party has been just average?
SMD is just a bunch of average Talents… NONE can match with Dbanj. And D’Banj
on the Other hand is just Globe Throttling and gradually fading away from
musical relevance.
Someone will say… If Only their Mum was Alive! #Iffaahear!!!
Is it not a SHAME that grown men like these would be waiting for Mummy to Cry
and Naked herself on the ground before they resolve their issues? No one say
P-SQUARE Should be together for LIFEEEEE! But there is a MATURED way to go
about things. This issue is just a big Insult to the Memory of their Parents and
Family Name in General.
LESSON3: Learn to be matured in Handling Issues. (Outsiders Don’t
Wish You Well)

#MovieReview BLACK NOVEMBER
Check This Out, Thank Me Later!!!
From it's title, one may try to guess the story line...but trust me, you would guess wrong. Black November is one of those movies you find difficult to classify as a NOLLYWOOD Film.
With a Cast of Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Mickey Rourke, Kim Basinger, Sarah Wayne Callies, Nse Ikpe Etim, OC Ukeje, Vivica Fox, Anne Heche, Persia White, Akon, Wyclef Jean and Mbong Amata BLACK NOVEMBER is a movie that tries to unveil to the world, the pains, hardship and sufferings of the Niger - Delta people and their quests for Justice.
To make it more engaging, a sub theme of Love, Sacrifice and Loyalty was infused through the Character of Ebiere... The fearless, articulate defender of the People.
If there is a Movie You must see this weekend... BLACK NOVEMBER should be it.

WORST PLACES TO BE BORN AS A WOMAN!!!
Check This Out, Thank Me Later!!!
In 2011 a Thompson Reuters Foundation Poll revealed the top 5 most dangerous countries to be living in when you're a woman. Each pose their own set of unique problems, but they have one thing in common: Utter disregard for women and women's bodies.
The criteria that was looked at include the following:health threats, sexual violence, non-sexual violence, cultural or religious factors, lack of access to resources and trafficking.
Here are the five places where women's live are in the most peril.
5 – Somalia
This country has been ravaged by civil war and lack of government for decades now. It ranks as the fifth most dangerous country for females because of factors such as:
- Rape
- Female Genital Mutilation (usually practiced on girls between 4 and 11)
- High maternity death rate as only 9% of women give birth in hospitals
- Forced child marriage and fatalities resulting from internal trauma from child rape.
And with only 7.5% parliament seats being held by women conditions are unlikely to improve.
4 – India
This is doubly depressing seeing that India’s population is around a billion people which makes it the world’s biggest democracy. By far. The reasons for this are:
- 100 million (mostly women and children) are victims of human trafficking. This includes sex slavery, forced labour and forced marriages.
- Over the last century over 50 million girls are "missing" due to female foeticide and infanticide.
- Child marriages - almost half of the female population are married before 18.
3 – Pakistan
Pakistan is rife with cultural, tribal and religious practices which abuse women. Things such as “punishment” through stoning, acid attacks, beatings and forced marriages are at the order of the day and women have nowhere to turn to for help because of an unsympathetic cultural and religious government.
- According to the Human Rights Commission more than a 1000 women and girls are victims of “honour killings” – which are committed by their families – per year.
2 – The Democratic Republic of the Congo
The Congo comes in second mainly because the figures for sexual violence are so high. A country with a shockingly long list of human rights violations, the Congo is still recovering after the war.
- More than 400 000 women are raped in the Congo each year

STIFF PUNISHMENT FOR ALBINO-HUNTERS
They are all around us, almost impossible not to notice.... In Nigeria, we call them different names, and overtime, those names are used derogatorily. How much do you really know about Albinos?
Check This Out, Thank Me Later!!!
Check This Out, Thank Me Later!!!
The term Albinism originated from a Latin word called Albus which means WHITE. It is defined as a congenital disorder characterized by the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes due to absence or defect of tyrosinase, a copper-containing enzyme involved in the production of melanin. It is the opposite of melanism. It has been scientifically proven that Albinism is an hereditary condition characterized by the absence of melanin in particular, in the eyes, skin, hair, scales, feathers or cuticle.
Albinism results from inheritance of recessive gene alleles and is known to affect all vertebrates, including humans. While an organism with complete absence of melanin is called an albino an organism with only a diminished amount of melanin is described as leucistic or albinoid.
Albinism is associated with a number of vision defects, such as photophobia, nystagmus and amblyopia. Lack of skin pigmentation makes for more susceptibility to sunburn and skin cancers.
Due to misinformation and certain traditional beliefs, many Nigerians stigmatized Albinos. We must know that Albinism is NOT Contagious... So no matter how close you get to an Albino, you cannot become one.
According to Nyasa Times a Malawian Paper, the country's ministry of gender revealed that the counsel would be a subsidiary of the ministry of justice and would ensure the imposition of stiff penalties in all cases relating to albino killings and attacks on citizens living with albinism.
In a statement released by Abigail Dzimadzi, chairperson of the Association of Persons with Albinism in Malawi (APAM), over 50 attacks on people with albinism had been recorded between December 2014 and March 2016 alone.
Please, lets learn to treat every human with respect and love of God.

As always... Death comes as a SHOCk! No one ever expects it or even await its arrival... Yet It comes.
What makes the this death of Mr. James Ocholi different?
Check This Out, Thank Me Later!!!
No1. HE WAS A MINISTER. Nigerians overtime unfortunately have become used to Motor Accident, and while Hundreds of lives are lost daily, and OVERLOOKED... That of a a Junior Minister cannot afford to be overlooked too. As Minister, Nigerians expect He has the BEST of everything... from the Vehicle to the Driver e.t.c So, it comes as a shocker when we are to discover that his Death came as a result of a Low Pressured Tyre (which we expect to be NEW).
No2. HE DIDN'T DIE ALONE: Death is brutal, but sometimes, we get consolation from those that are LEFT behind to Live on! However, we a man Dies, and His Wife Follows Suits... Its a terrible thought; what makes it become heartbreaking is when his FIRST SON... His Pride, Future and Joy is gone too!!! Truly thats sad. Who is going to look after the other children?
No3: HE WAS DIFFERENT: For those that followed the Ministerial Screening, Mr. James was one of the candidates that stood out. His Charisma, Charm and Intelligence was something worthy of admiration. He represented the Kind of persons needed to bring about the Kind of CHANGE Nigeria really needs.
As we mourn the passing of these beautiful souls, lets take time out to pray for their families... and cautiously review our lives. Death Has no Alarm Bell. #AllisWell Photcredit: SaharaReporters.

#RELATIONSHIP How an Asaba Girl Used Me as a Child
Check This Out, Thank Me Later!!!
#RelationshipMatters
At age 15 or so... I traveled from Lagos to Asaba just to find a girl I used to "Love" in my street. After spending all my little savings on transport and getting a gift for her, I called her and told her I was in Asaba. She couldn't believe it. After about 2hrs of waiting, she met me at an eatery. I gave her the gift (#700 perfume), then Bought her Fried Rice & Chicken (#500). Off course I couldn't afford to Buy for myself. With all these attention, I was surprised when she said... Mike, I need to go now. My aunt gave me some clothes to wash. I was about to protest when she reminded me that AM NoT HER BF and that she likes me as JUST A FRIEND. With the Money Gone! Pain Felt, Risk Taken and Everything... I knew I Had to LET GO! LET GO OF THE ONLY GIRL I EVER "LOVED". Almost 15 years after... I see young people in that same situation... Being in "LOVE" with someone who doesn't value you as much as you value them. You beg them to CALL/TEXT you! You beg them to Pick your calls! You beg them to visit you or Beg to Visit them! You beg them to Send Pics! You beg them to TALK to you about their Feelings, pains, ambitions and stuffs! Practically... You BEG them for everything!!! And the number one excuse they give is "Am BUSY"! My friend, this is 2016! Its time to CUT OFF such ties. Keep your emotions in CHECK and let Common Sense Take Over! No one is ever too BUSY for anything or anyone that brings Joy, Pleasure or Money. Love is no longer the most important ingredient for a successful relationship... Rather RESPECT, LOYALTY & COMMUNICATION. There is NO vacuum in life. Once you Let Go, there would always be someone to replace that person. Don't live your life hoping that ONE DAY this person is gonna come around. *most times, they never do*. You are Beautifully and Wonderfully made! You are an epitome of charm and Grace! Anyone who cannot see that needs to see an Optician! You are Valuable! Treat yourself in that light & watch as Kings & Queens would come knocking on your door.

SEX- WHY SOME "CHRISTIAN SISTERS" Will NEVER Get Married
Check This Out, Thank Me Later!!!
Recently I was having a chat with a personal confidant, about the Ladies of nowadays. And then I remembered some thoughts I had while listening to Bishop TD Jakes.
When Samson left his Home land (Church), to pick Delilah (UnChurched) as a Wife, He must have seen something good in her that Girls in his Home side didn't have. Something strong enough that after each work day, He could only find comfort by laying his Head on her laps.
Here are my thoughts on why some "Sisters" may find it difficult to say "I DO".
SEXUAL NAIVETY: SEX before marriage is a NO-NO and I support those who support it; but being completely ignorant about SEXUAL matters is a bad idea. SEX in itself is a gift to humanity from God, and MEN tend to love it the most. As a Lady, its important you are well informed about SEX. Looking Sexy, Sex Styles, Best Time to Have Sex, Where to Have Sex and stuffs like that. Knowing these things is NOT a Sin, rather its a preparatory process. It helps you get prepared for marriage. 90% of MEN love sex, so a man is most likely attracted to that SISTER that he can foresee a beautiful sexual experience with. (Many couples are dying silent because of sexual issues)
IGNORANCE OF WORLD MATTERS:
Today's world is quite challenging, MEN want more than a wife. What they want is a PARTNER! Someone that they can plan a future with. Knowing how to Pray & Fast is good, Knowing how to recite Scriptures and dissect them is admirable, but a Woman that cannot Contribute Mentally to her Husband's Business/ Career is a Liability. As you spend time reading your bible, ensure you listening to Local & Foreign News, ensure you read about Financial matters, Ensure you learn something New that would make you a Valuable asset.
INABILITY TO COOK:
The way to most men's heart is FOOD! Many Ladies DON'T KNOW HOW TO COOK! Honestly! Back in the days, with just a few spices, Our Mothers can create delicacies that the whole house will enjoy. Today, give a 25 year old lady 5k, and she will cook something that dogs will reject. Learn the Art of Cooking. By Cooking Books, Watch Food Channels on TV, Experiment in the Kitchen... For Heaven's sake... Do All You Humanly Can to be better cook. If you cook good, no matter how flirty your husband may be... He Will Always Come Back Home!
There is no Curse on your Head! Enough of the Midnight Deliverance Vigils! Enough of Moving from One Prophet to another! Apply these little secrets I've told you, and you will see different men from around the world looking for your hand in MARRIAGE.
